Keep seeing this take that ambitious people want to be in the office and remote work is just for coasting. It's wild because my most productive days are when i don't go in. If you remove the commute, forced chats, and performative desk sitting, you get actual deep work done. Not because people are lazy. Because the physical office is designed for visibility, not effective output. This isn't an excuse to slack off. It's an explanation for why people who actually want to build things prefer staying home.
