The 50 LPA Hype vs Reality – Anyone Else Confused?
I have this doubt—how are people earning 50 LPA with just 5 years of experience, while I, with 8 years, am at 14 LPA in my hometown? It creates a major void, making me feel I’m not doing enough even though I’m trying every possible way to increase my number. Is anyone else feeling the same? If 50 LPA is trending now, are such roles easy targets for layoffs? Am I on the right path, especially since I chose to stay in my hometown instead of moving to Bangalore and paying blazing rents?

I have 16 years experience and didnt cross 25LPA also. Its depending on which company you work for. Now a days most of the unicorn offering high pay scale. But work load , stability and future definitely not stable. Be happy what you are earning else just move on to unicorns with higher packages

Are you really happy with this? And are you in bangalore?

first of all those who are earning 50 lpa and not average at all.
This package is not common.
No they are not target of layoffs, even if you're are earning less you can be let go. Depends on companies profit rather than employees salary.
You're not earning that much bcos you never intended to.

A major component of these are also yearly esops
