Termination based on RTO policy as well
Hi All, I just received an update from one of the project team members. She mentioned that the RTO status is being tracked from January 2024, and TCS management is strictly considering termination for those not following the RTO policy. I’m not sure how accurate this information is, but I wanted to share it with you all
Since I’ve been selected for that project, I requested an exception for child care, and this is what she told me. Please be cautious and ensure you are meeting the RTO requirements and minimum working hours.

From what I heard, again from others, they use the old RTO as reference and the current RTO compliance is monitored.
If one is violating it after multiple warnings a disciplinary action or warning is issued. Still non compliance puts you in cross hair of firing squad. But mostly they wont do stuff if you are project critical. They will just keep warning
Otherwise it is just drawing unnecessary attention.
However, one thing my colleague faced recently was due to RTO Non Compliance they had deducted something from Final settlement but then our manager sorted it out as a miscommunication error.
My thoughts are they are just using anything and everything possible to kick people or find issues to reduce settlement.

Absolutely right

If only tcs reduces notice period to 1 month. Most of us will be glad to leave . The company won't have to become the bad guy by firing people

If they don't have a reason, they will try to find anything they can.

do they consider exceptions?

They can take HR action but not fire directly. They will if RTO was zero for so long

Is this for all grades or above any specific grade
