Telangana Sets Up Disaster Response Force
- The Telangana government has established the Telangana Disaster Response Force to handle emergencies like floods. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced this during a review meeting on flood relief measures. - Ex-gratia for families of flood victims increased from ₹4 lakh to ₹5 lakh, and for milch animals from ₹30,000 to ₹50,000. Command and control centers are being set up. - Khammam District in Telangana experiences unprecedented rainfall, causing severe floods. District Collector Muzammil Khan assures that all necessary aid will be provided.
