Technical position vs manager

I have 14+ years experience in IT, let me share my thought..

When you are switching the Manager role, you need to learn lot of new things like people handling, presentation skills, politics and etc..

It will be stressful, but the growth will be high..

If you are in Technical role with 12+ years experience, ATM easy you should be Technical Architect role and should be an expert in you own domain..

The opportunities are limited and you can’t switch, unless you are Application Architect..
