How does the techleap program work? One of my friends answered the same as me and he still got the promotion & I didn't receive it :'(
Some people are saying that default promotion is also not for everyone, that depends upon the manager whom to give whom to not @WeeklyPlane1 @Anonymousguy @WoodenZinc9
For default promotion, there are certain criteria -
You must complete 24 months (2 yrs at CL 12)
If you are in a project for a year or more than a year then you have the chances to get promoted.
In some cases, even if your project changes just before completion of 24 months - you should be promoted but that also depends on current project/account budget
I have personally seen people getting promoted in the next performance cycle after they finish 12 MAL.
And on the second question that TechLeap promotion depends on the manager - Yes but that decision is taken after the mail of passing the TechLeap exam. I know people who passed the exam but weren't promoted citing budget issues by the manager
TechLeap Program is a Scam. Please don't have any hopes on it. If it was not a scam they would tell us exact marks we scored not Scope to Develop.

Hope for a default promotion at the end of 2 years
I would say techleap is random, first you don't get the result straight away and only after the promotions is finalized by management, so once you get the result scope to develop decide you didn't make it , and promotion will mostly get result after their promotion is announced it is ironic , when you ask respect poc they say it is result of various factors, like learning, team engagement, productivity so and so. .. if that is so many people I know didn't get it who are exceptional at work and also people who are doing bare minimum got it ... End of the day I would say it is purely luck
Techleap is for fasttrack promotion and there are some criteria for getting promoted and also depends on your manager, HR and project budget.
It also depends on your project performance + People Lead / Manager input
