Tech Stack ?
Hello Everyone
While going through alot of openings in Wellfound and opensource projects that are in GSOC and outreachy
I made a list of tech to learn in the next 6 months(with projects)
- Typescript
- PostgreSQL
- NextJs
- Docker
- AWS
Currently learning MERN by making projects and i am in my 4th yr of btech
My question is Will these tech skills align me for good internship opportunities ?
If you have some suggestions/advice plz comment, it will hardly take your 2 mins
Thanks!!

Get at least 1 thing sorted out, don't run behind everything. I'm not that much of an experienced developer but still this is my advice.
It's good to have an understanding of how backend and frontend works. But in the current job market specially for experienced developers of various experience ranges, people want Dev's to be good in 1 thing and it's good to have knowledge of other things, but not necessary. It depends on the role and company stage as well.
But these may not be applicable for you as of now, so better have good basics of computer science. 80% of the companies won't be interested in the flashy tech stack.
People have different opinions, but still there are billion dollar products up and running hard on Rails, PHP and what not.
So technology is a tool offering various features, but the underlying things are identical to some extent if not everything.
PS - Get your basics right and ignore influencers

The sad truth is even after all the internships and projects, if you are unable to clear DSA round, big tech won't hire you. If your goal is big tech, start practicing DSA, else if it's startups, then you are going good

Better to focus on industry demands right now. Don't try full stack, go either frontend or backend.
For backend learn Java or Go. Learn some Rust as well, not much but enough to prove intermediate proficiency. Pick one framework and dive deep, build one or two projects and showcase the hell out of them. Also learn about DBs, how they work and how to optimise.
