Tech influencers selling mentorships on topmate

I see so many LinkedIn Tech influencers selling mentorships on topmate. While this is certainly not wrong. But some are charging 6k for 30 min or so, which is insane. Usually people under 2 years of exp are falling for this. Funny thing is it's people under 2 years of exp, who just cracked a Faang are providing mentorships on topmate

While this could be morally wrong, In an open market anyone can change whatever amount they feel like for their services as long as it's being bought why should the seller reduce rates, the day they stop getting clients rates would reduce.

I personally feel this is just their way to limit the crowd/time wasters. ₹99 me 100 log book krege aur 50 toh bhul jaege ki kuch krna tha, the higher the price lesser the demand seller ke pas bhi toh limited time hai na.

6k for 30 min is really not justifiable though. It's just day light robbery

Here's mind-blowing fact. There's one youtuber(non tech) that charges 50 thousand rupees for 1 hr face to face session.

Robbery will anyways happen when victim are willing to pay. It's how the world works cricket match ka ticket bhi toh log 10x premium par black krte hai na 🤣

And they always start with some motivational story/journey before selling that. 6k for 30 mins might be good for Ambani's grand kid but not normal people. Not sure if people are booking them for their mentorships. Honestly I also opened a topmate account last year and that is it. Did not open it ever since 🙃. Did not feel right asking for money for some small help any senior should provide.

Just hate the topmate

The platform has made every intern a Leadership coach; charging ₹2999/- for each session.

The platform should have at least some decency to verify who is trying to become a mentor.
