TEAM LEAD is Rejecting WFH concern

I was sick and I have requested my lead to Provide me work from home for a week as my work location is far away from my home , but he is rejecting it and asking me to apply leave , can anyone suggest something on this.

If you valid medical docs that you need to take rest and avoid travelling then you can raise wfo exception before that check with your unit hr once
