TCS shares drop nearly 2% as company announces layoff of 12,000 employees
Jefferies warned that this could hurt the company in the long run. Despite not being the best pay-master, TCS has enjoyed lower-than-industry attrition levels as it offered long-term career path and job-stability to its employees. In the near term, the ongoing layoffs will hurt employee morale and could potentially lead to execution slippages. In the longer run, such policies could drive a sharp rise in attrition. What do you think, plz comments your view on this.

2% is just an official number it's actually 5% to 10% till March 2026

Though TCS has the low pay structure but Yes, as mentioned in the article there is one thing that is Job security which is the most important aspect for which most of the employees join TCS but now the things have changed drastically now we have to just wait and watch in which direction this all will proceed further

Low attrition percentage but the count was more than total employee count of most companies.
