TCS Review: The worst company I have worked at...
-
They are notorious for hiring people and then laying them off after a few months. This happens even if you have been working there for years. Plus, they offer 🥜 and expect innovation like OpenAI building GPT5.
-
They don't care about their employees' well-being or mental health. They expect you to work long hours without any breaks, which can lead to burnout.
-
The company culture is toxic and unhealthy. There is no transparency in the organization, and managers often play favorites with certain employees while ignoring others.
-
Their work culture is toxic, with long working hours and unrealistic deadlines.
-
The management is arrogant and does not listen to employee feedback.
What new points would you add to this list?
One interview, 1000+ job opportunities
Take a 10-min AI interview to qualify for numerous real jobs auto-matched to your profile 🔑If you have so many issues why are you still sticking with TCS? Are they forcing you to work with them on the gunpoint? Just switch the job and move on.
@HarmfulVoid I am interviewing already. Just letting anyone else know what happens when you give 8 years of your life to a company.
Everypoint mentioned in post is correct and it's good that someone is raising concerns, but instead of giving good advice or supporting these kind of people you are telling him to look for another job. This shows your slave mentality. And people like you make any workplace hell for normal people
Attitude and ego issues in manager, HR & supervisors.
Less Technical knowledge and common sense but much arrogance
@DryIceO2 Exactly they are so dumb but act like bosses,.
💯 true. I have seen many dumb managers just make our lives hard. 😂 i have seen employees who actually don't complete their stories in the project but help managers with their excel, ppt and tracking work (not related to client work) will get A bands, appreciations etc etc etc...
It’s not the issue with TCS it’s the same issue with all IT Service based companies. Be prepared to experience some of those in your next company as well🙂
Can’t disagree on this. IT sector seems to work that way only. Everywhere you will find toxic culture, bad management, stress, no concern for health issues. The only people who are concerned about our health is we, ourselves and our beloved family members/friends..that’s it. That’s harsh reality which needs to change!
@FloweryCafe8 This has to change. Thankfully it is.
IT sector will be like this only. Most of the companies are toxic.
Point 1 is confusing. Laying off after few months even if you are working for years? How can you work there for years but laid off in few months?
It's been two years working with tcs and I don't have much complaints. I have worked with other service based companies like infy , ibm , tech M , Accenture and I find tcs better as compared to others. Let's hope tcs gets better with time :)
I'm with you. And I really hope for a good working environment in the near future atleast. The underlying point is, the employees have no one. Even if there is a dedicated team to manage the problems of employees...they still are on the corporate side where the creamy layer gets more creamier.
@Oneinhell Exaclty. They want to fill each other with more cream (money)
What i know, tcs doesn't layoff . They may ask you to resign voluntarily and that too if you broke tcs code of conduct and if you be on bench for long time
My friend's dad is suffering from cancer, TCS has denied her WFH. She was forced to use all her leaves. Currently she's on LWP. So yeah, TCS IS THE WORST COMPANY EVER
