TCS Retention - Should I go for it?
I have 6 years of experience in .Net tech stack and got an offer (18 LPA - 10% Variable Pay). My current CTC is 13 LPA. I got a call from TCS HR asking for details for Retention. The HR said that the maximum they would go for is 14 - 15 LPA and anything above that is going to be rejected. I said I am not interested for anything below 20 LPA and replied politely that I am sure that I can get better offers in the next 3 months (Notice Period). Anyhow, I am wondering if I should have asked for a higher number or is 20 LPA a good figure to continue in TCS?

You atleast got a call for name sake.. TCS hr has not even called once asking whether I can be retained and will be moving out of TCS in another 1 week
Have served the company for a good duration of 5+ years and TCS is not interested in retaining the people served them. I was not planning to stick back anyways but still, it's a basic step anyone expects from HR to have a word with them and discuss any points to be taken care which could have been better here. Nothing happened. Who ever is dropping the paper , they are letting them go. Some kinda indirect strategy to reduce the headcount maybe .

Remember why you resigned in the first place. If they had not recognised you in the first place don’t even bother staying back

U won’t get it. Been there done that and moved out to be a better place. All the best. I don’t believe they will even match the 16 and then that increase most of will will be added in variable which will be deducted for many unforeseen reasons

No. Only SWON tagging increases DI

Does anyone know if leaves applied while we are unallocated help to increase the deployment index percentage?
