TCS. Releasing associates to bench in the name of MIP.

TCS is now releasing associates from projects to bench in the name of MIP - Margin Improvement Plan. Does anyone know about it ? Why is this happening ? What are they upto ??

Upper management is asking to improve account margins. Seniors C3A and C3B head count must be reduced to ensure that margins are met.

Each delivery manager is given a number to achieve. They need to replace senior with juniors to ensure profitablity.

They have also frozen external hiring. All positions should be filled within TCS. This will actually ensure that the seniors get another project and are not forced to resign.

In my location only there are people who were there in RMG with 16-17 years of experience with higher package but they got another project within a week or 15 days of duration
