You have to be in a project for minimum of 18 months as per policy. You should identify backup for your self who can perform the tasks of yours in your absence. This is the easiest way to go and approach for release.

Release can be denied if

  1. you are in a billable position
  2. you are having any dependency
  3. you don't have backup
  4. you have not messed up with managers ... ... ...

Hi, I've completed 24 months, and I asked for a release considering my career and technology, they told me to get a backup ready. Does that mean I need to find a backup myself or do I need to inform my manager to do so?

If we are new to the project and before taking to the project they said the project works in this way and now it is complete the opposite and it has been a month. Can we get a release from the project?
