TCS Project Allocation: L2 Support vs Testing – Need Career Advice
I recently joined TCS and have experience in IVR testing, API testing, and automation (Cyara/Postman).
I’ve been offered an L2 support project, but I’m unsure if this is the right move considering the current layoffs and the fact that RMG is pushing everyone to get allocated quickly.
My main questions are:

How is career growth in L2 support compared to testing/automation?

If I join L2 support now, will it be difficult to move back into testing/automation projects later (inside TCS or outside)?

In the current layoff situation, is it safer to accept L2 support just to stay billable, or better to wait for a role matching my testing background?
