TCS offer/salary Approval

I recently attended a walk-in interview at TCS and successfully cleared all rounds. During the HR discussion, I was offered ₹16.5 LPA, but I had requested a package in the range of ₹18–20 LPA, considering my experience and skill set.

The HR mentioned he would try to get internal approval for a higher amount and get back to me. It's been a couple of days, and I’m still waiting for an update.

🔍 I wanted to ask the community — Has anyone else faced a similar situation after salary negotiation during a TCS interview?

How long did it take for the HR to respond with an updated offer (if any)?

Did they usually call back or just send the offer letter directly if approved?

Any insights would be really helpful while I wait! 🙏
