𝟏𝟐,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝. 𝐓𝐂𝐒 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐢𝐭 “𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.” 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤.

Most people didn’t know GitHub, AWS, or Microservices. Some couldn’t understand even slightly complex code. No effort to learn. Because job was too secure.

This is not about AI replacing jobs. This is about 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲.

12,000 people fired. Not freshers. Not underperformers. 𝗠𝗶𝗱 & 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗸𝘀. 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

Why?

Because they were “𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲”

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝘁.

This is not a strategy. This is 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺.

Now listen close 👇 TCS has 6,13,000 employees. Do they need that many?

My friend works in a product-based company. TCS has 4x more revenue than them… But 𝟭𝟱𝟬𝘅 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲𝘀.😳

Why?

Old model: ➡️ Hire more people ➡️ Charge client per head ➡️ Extend project ➡️ Earn more

But AI is breaking that model. Companies now want: 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹. 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗽𝘂𝘁.

If companies like OpenAI or Anthropic reach even 20% AGI… It’s not just TCS that’s in trouble.

It’s the 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆. India depends heavily on IT for jobs. If outsourcing dies → real estate, education, hospitality = all will shake.

We’re not China. We don’t have mass manufacturing. We don’t have strong exports.

If IT jobs disappear → 𝘄𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆.
