TCS job switching terms and conditions.

Guys, I am planning to switch from TCS to my recent TCS client company directly. People say we cannot do it. Minimum 6 months gap is required and all. But where is this rule written? I dont find it on offer/appointment letter. Have you seen it anywhere?
