TCS is not a secure company to retire anymore.

From the recent layoff news, TCS has just became like any other company where job security isn’t guaranteed. People used to stay back feeling a bit secure thinking TCS wont layoff people. Now they have chosen to reduce the head count to increase profits. So if the only advantage is not in the equation anymore, why would people still working for crazy hours, low wages and no job security, when they should up skill and jumping ship as soon as possible.

I agree the market is bad right now, but everyone should have seen this coming when they had to hire people on the market standard salary after Covid. But I think the company will go more into deep trouble if they sack people who do work to cut cost. They should be firing people who aren’t working or just act as managers without doing anything first. Oh RMG/HR should also get a check, then fire people that team who might have gotten complainants against during exit interviews.
