Co pay is : if your hospital bill is X rupees, then your insurance provider will only pay 90% of the total bill. i.e. 0.9x Remaining 10% (0.1x) you need to pay from your pocket. This co pay has an upper limit of 10000 rupees. It means if your total bill is 10 lakh rupees, then you dont need to pay 1 lakh. You only need to pay 10000 rupees and the insurance vendor will pay 9 lakh 90 thousand.
