TCS Health Insurance: will it be live when we take an unpaid break?

I am currently on the bench, I am thinking of taking a break for 6 months, but I am worried about health coverage. Also help me, how to request for taking a break, whom should I ask for it, and what are the valid reasons accepted by RMG/HR, although I don't have a valid reason except that I need a break.
