TCS -> HCL or other companies
I got an offer from HCL of 22 CTC, I have put my papers in TCS.
My last working day is in mid of May.
Now, TCS has offered me to give 20-21 CTC with J&J Project.
as of now apart from HCL I don't have any other offers in hand.
I have completed interviews in most of the big companies and haven't received any HR call back.
Kindly share your suggestions what I need to do now.

I hope all things you have on paper. Don't believe on this type of any commitments from TCS. Because at a time they don't increased the salary. It's happened with one of my colleagues.

Leave TCS

I would say just for 1 2 lacs Don't switch to HCL . Stay in TCS for 1 year then go for product based company. Its not worth it to switch to HCL until and unless there is huge gap in salary offered to you .

Even I am thinking of the same
I had been morethan 10 days there is no update form the manager, initially manager was like we don't want to lose good resource and now he is silent

Say bye ...bye to TCS ,TCS will force you to WFO which is not a better option with HCL you will have flexibility and see better managers over there .

Bro I would simply just ignore what TCS offers in that case as nothing will happen of such if you decide by moving with TCS taking back your resignation from the same...Though HCL is having some similarities compared with TCS but atleast they provide some facilities like hybrid model and aren't as strict as TCS did like snatching Casual WFH exception of min 5 days to linking WFO index with Variable pay..And another plus point is you can prepare for next switch without much fuss as you would be having a job as backup if you end up with none of offers so that you can try in later end for the same..

An old post I see. I believe you've made your mind by now. A similar situation happened to me and I have received the revised compensation.
Few things you should be looking into -
- Don't believe your manager. TCS is an HR driven company, so ask your manager to get the HR to communicate with you about any revised compensation.
- The HR should confirm the ctc over email before you take off your papers. If the HR denies putting an email, leave. Again, email from HR not your manager, because the manager at the last moment would say I tried my best but HR did not agree.
- While speaking to the HR get a clarity on the quarterly variable which is usually in the range of 10-12% of your CTC.
- Check the change of retention incentive if any. Ask them when the retention incentive is going to be paid out - usually should be the same as you get currently. But sometimes, they make the retention incentive applicable from the date of the revised offer.
- Try to push the HR to put the increased component in BoB, this will help increase your in-hand salary.
All confirmations over email and you should be good. If the HR denies, leave.
And 22 for 6.5 years exp in TCS is pretty good. If all goes well I see you staying put. Good luck

If ur hr or shortlisted person might b u r family man or relationship thn only can earn 22l .
Main problem is HR is not i.e corporate mindset not even single person become well wishers...
