TCS considering freezing of the annual hikes

I'm not surprised. That would be the next move if they dont achieve targets. The best way to maximise profit is through this.

They will even use sympathy card that "how can employees ask for hike when so many people are losing their job and stuff "

I think it will sound a little weird but right now most important is to secure our job because if the job itself is not there then whats the point of hikes , promotions

Management is fear mongaring whole TCS employees with layoffs, even in my project manager is pushing for preparation of meaningless reports. Everyone has to comply no other option. Now no one in their right mind will ask for hike or QVA.
Management shut mouth of every employee with this move. Really pathetic politics. This is best time to leave organisation.

I joined in 3rd quarter of 2023, about 2 years back. No anniversary hike or no regular hike. QVA is going down day by day. Now we can’t even open our mouth for what is written in our offer letter.

As per this report, they may save 5600 Crore INR but they have already lost 9500 crore INR just within 2 days of layoffs announcement from the market. It seems management itself wants to destroy tc$.
