TCS Bench Policy
I have been allocated to RMG since last week and I got an email from RMG asking to report everyday twice at base location otherwise HR impact as per TCS policy will happen!
Are senior employees who are on bench also reporting twice every day? Does anyone know what issues can happen if I don't ? I am getting married in 3 weeks and have moved to my hometown and this whole situation is disturbing me now. Any suggestions?
Tell them that you will be available all the time for evaluation and pick any call from projects and will go to neraby TCS office. Also informed her/him about your marriage situation
That’s the company policy, and it’s crucial to follow it. If others are going to the office five days a week, what’s your reason for not doing the same? You’re still receiving the same salary at the end of the month. For events like marriage, you can take leave (EL or CL), but staying at home without proper leave is unethical, unprofessional, and affects the team as well.
My reason is that I am in my hometown because I need to take care of preparations as well as legal procedures of marriage registration(you don't know my situation so why comment). Firstly I am on bench so I won't get my variable pays both monthly and quarterly, so don't worry I am in fact not going to get the same salary as others.
As per TCS policy, not going to office will result in loss of QVP which I am okay with. My question was what are the other impacts that might happen. If you cannot help with the answer then don't get involved, no one is asking for moral policing.
If I understand correctly, you're currently on the bench (meaning you're getting a salary, excluding monthly and quarterly allowances), busy with your wedding preparations (congrats on that!), and you're at your hometown. So, why haven't you applied for leave? What's your excuse for not doing so?
Kindly postpone your wedding and go back to the base location. Job is more important than your would be wife. Wife will wait but TCS will not…
Report to your base location asap, TCS may terminate you anytime, now a days they are just trying to find a reason for termination, best of luck
