TCS avoiding the layoffs

TCS avoiding the possible layoffs by holding the increment letters for senior employees at the moment. Similarly Nutanix also did the same in previous recession and didn’t fire anyone by using the same strategy. Also, there are many other factors which are not relevant such as promoting the WFO etc…
