TCS 3rd party consultancy referral

I had a call with TCS HR today. They told me my profile is still in progress, pending final approval.

The delay is because I was referred by a third-party consultancy, which adds an extra approval step.

Why there is such delays if a candidate was referred by any 3rd party consultancy? Do they eventually provide OL or they just Ghost us? And who is the final approver?

Please help.

Most 3rd party or contract referrals do pass the final approvals. So you can definitely hope for OL but just keep following up.
