Taking a Break Before Joining New Company – Is It Okay?

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently resigned and I’m currently on the bench. I’ve also requested an early release, but my next company’s joining date is in the second week of September.

Is it okay to take a break until then, or should I ask them to prepone the joining? Will taking a break during July and August have any negative impact?

Taking break for max 20 days is ok i guess but not more than that. Please ask for prepone If there is a possibility to stay connected with your work and technology

What would happen if one take break for three to four months.

I think there's no harm but try to wrap the break period within weeks.
