Tagged in a role without any call!
what a shitshow this company is? I’m a fresher, unallocated since a week and I just received a mail, not even a call that I have been tagged in a project. It does not even align with my tech stack or remotely related to it. I called the manager and tried to deny the project, still of no use. RMG said that it has been closed by the unit head and I’ll have to work in that project only. What am I supposed to even do now? I do not want this project.
Start giving interviews and move out asap. Otherwise you will lose touch with your skillset and regret for life.
this is my first job :( it’s hard to get interviews as a fresher, even though I graduated from a good college
You are a fresher , first 3 years you will be allocated and trained based on project needs not based on your interest or project training.
If I were you , I would learn skills to upskill myself and move on
My advice is that .. just pretend to work there and keep working on your skills ... after 1 or 2 years start giving interviews for the skills you have been working on, do not mention that you worked on another tech
what will I put in my experience section if not this project?
Aree.. you put this project only in experience section.. just change the tech stack and bluff .... ( Assuming you were continually working on your skills and made few projects solving real problem..
Welcome to TCS!! I have been in this shitshow for last 14 years. Let me tell you that freshers ( sometimes even experienced resources) are not considered as human. There is no way that you can skip from this project. Nobody even going to reply your mail or messages... either work in this project or switch... ( ofcourse you should try but chances are .1%)
Try your best to get released, don't worry about the PIP and other bullshit regulations. The day you decide to give up on this and start working on this project, start looking for offers outside.
only got allocated today. Received the RIGHTS mail. What if I don’t accept it?
Bro, you can move out of the project now only, ho and convince the RMG and write a mail beforehand stating all the problems and how the things went. Write the mail to the RMG and keep the project people in cc..
I hope so things will get cleared out soon.
I talked to rmg face to face. She clearly denied and told me that the allocation has been closed by unit head and she can’t do anything
