Switching from TCS
I am stuck in TCS for past 3 years. Applying to n number of companies since last 6 months yet not receiving any calls. Feels fed up and demotivated. I want release atleast from my project, I joined as Java developer and its been a year i have touched any code m doing only devops work. Is it a good idea to put papers and then apply for companies ??

You need to change ur approach if current one is not working for u to get job in other company...first of all check ur resume if it's include the latest tech stack in ur last project and while applying don't say 3 months notice initially u can say will try to join in 2 months and so that can be sort out later on...other things while brushing up the knowledge for any technology make notes for each day and apply for even small small companies just to take interviews and check how is ur response in ur interview and then act accordingly on the loop holes .....putting papers before offer is only applicable if u have good financial background in my view.

Great inputs..thank you!!

Hello friend! The hiring rate has dropped down. It's high time we realised the impact of gen AI. Rather than stating that we may or may not lose our jobs, I would suggest that we match our pace with the tech growth. Old-school resumes are not gonna buy us jobs anymore. Given the current scenario, I don't think experienced are gonna get hired only for what they've been trained in. Folks need to be aware of what is coming. People are interested in picking promising resources, future-ready people to keep their firm running. So unless you want to stay in the game, keep up with the new tech.

Agreed

Hey don't worry, I am also a Java developer with 3 years experience. I have got an offer after so many ups and downs. Now I'm serving the notice period. I have learnt 2 things from my experience
- Make sure your resume is ATS friendly and always up to date
- Modify your resume as per the job description for each company before applying to the position. Like adding the certain keywords based on the description of the requirements. ( This made a huge difference)

Thanks @Vixen29!!

If there are no financial issues, if you can risk, You can put ur papers and try job search in naukri and foundit saying serving notice period. You will get a lot of calls from consultancies and try to apply via referral and direct portals and not in naukri or LinkedIn easy apply.

Thanks for your inputs✌️✌️

Same here friend….
