Switching from Support to Development

hi all , currently i am in support project, resolving tickets all day, giving access to developers/ colleagues. Is there any one of you stuck in the same position and later switched the company as a SDE?. If yes so how you prepared your resume according to that and what did you learn. Because i don't think i would be getting a release from this project. Your support will be appreciated.
