I’m planning to switch to a product based company. I have 2 YOE and was wondering what I should expect while trying to switch. I’ve heard that it can difficult trying to switch from a service based company, but not sure it may be for my experience level. Would love to hear your thoughts, experiences or advice on this. 2 YOE is actually a sweet spot to switch; your basics are strong, but you’re still moldable. Yes, product companies expect deeper DSA, system design & problem-solving chops, but it’s totally doable with targeted prep. Talk to folks who’ve already made that leap.
