Switching from Service-Based to Product-Based Company

Hi everyone 👋

I’m a .NET Developer with 4 years of experience, currently working in a service-based company. I’m planning to switch to a product-based company and would really appreciate guidance from people who’ve already made this transition. A few things I’d love advice on:

1️⃣ What skills should I focus on beyond day-to-day project work? 2️⃣ How important are DSA, system design, and problem-solving for .NET roles? 3️⃣ How did you prepare while working full-time? 4️⃣ What kind of projects or experience helped you stand out? 5️⃣ Any mistakes you made that I should avoid?

I’ve worked mostly on enterprise applications, APIs, and client-driven projects, and now want to move toward building scalable products with strong engineering practices. If you’ve done this switch (or are preparing for it), your experience would really help 🙏 Comments, resources, roadmaps, or even hard truths — all welcome! Thanks in advance! 🚀

Not sure about the current interview trend But DSA, LLD n HLD are the 3 things which is generally considered by PBC for an interview. So focus on these aspects
