Switching from ITIS to IoT within TCS — guidance needed

Hi everyone,

Currently working in an ITIS role within TCS. Like many freshers with more than a year of experience, I’m exploring a transition towards IoT / Embedded / Edge-related projects internally.

I’ve been upskilling in this direction and want to understand how such domain switches realistically happen within the organization. Would really appreciate insights from folks who’ve made a similar internal move, especially into IoT or related areas:

What tends to work better — IJP, RMG discussions, internal networking, COEs, or certifications?

Are there particular units or initiatives where IoT work is more active?

Any common mistakes to avoid while planning the switch?
