I'm planning to switch from consulting, because it is complete shit. I have close to no experience in design, but I have a few projects from my college days that are relevant. Would appreciate advice, feedback and any alternate/additional recommendations on my career plan
Put in my papers immediately(because I can't bear the toxicity anymore). 2-3 months of notice period, in which I probably won't have much work. Use that time to work on a couple of mock case studies and repurpose my college projects to put together a portfolio. Start applying in 1-2 months.
If you have any suggestions on types of companies that are best for UX designers that would be great too. I'm looking for places where I have strategic and creative freedom. Thank you!
