Switch to Infosys
I am currently working as an Assistant Consultant at TCS, drawing a package of nearly ₹24 LPA, and I'm based out of Trivandrum. Despite receiving an 'A' band rating, the company has deferred hikes for the current financial year, which means I won't be seeing any tangible reward for my performance. This has been highly demotivating, especially considering the level of dedication and passion I bring to my work.
Over the past year, I've found myself increasingly frustrated—not just with the lack of recognition, but also with having to constantly deal with unskilled junior resources and a senior management team that often lacks direction. This has led me to the conclusion that I need to seriously consider a switch.
Remaining with a company solely for perks like death benefits, Sodexo coupons, or health insurance no longer feels justified, especially when the work environment doesn't align with my aspirations or values.
I recently received an offer from Infosys. However, I'm hesitant to make the move right now due to the current market uncertainty. The looming threat of a recession in the U.S. and recent news about Infosys laying off employees without sufficient projects are concerning. That said, it's worth noting that in my 3 years at TCS, I've never been on the bench—not even for a single day. I’ve consistently worked on fully billable projects, and I trust in my ability to stay relevant and productive.
The financial benefit from the new offer is significant, which is important to me, as I do have ongoing financial responsibilities. However, from what I’ve gathered, both TCS and Infosys offer similar types of projects—often low-energy, uninspiring, and with limited technical depth—so I’m not expecting much difference in terms of work content.
So my dilemma is this: Should I make the switch now for financial reasons, despite the market risks? Or should I stay with TCS until the job market stabilizes, even though that might take 2–3 years or more?

Shift immediately to infosys. Dont waste your time in toxic consultancy services
