Switch Product to Service based Companies

Is anyone who had switched from prod to service based , why did you do that ? Recently i had read a post where people are talking about low quality work on FAANG and high quality work on startups. I had personally seen a manager coming from Microsoft to Wipro , and a guy from Amazon to IBM .... ??
