Switch or Stay?

My founder wasn't giving time to the team at all. He asked me to hire people but when it came to the final round of the interview, he didn't take it or be delayed by weeks. I lost so many good candidates because of this.

But the founder will make sure he doesn't miss playing tennis everyday. And on birthdays and occasions, he will spend time writing long beautiful personalized messages on the group.

He is always busy. He won't reply to messages. And then suddenly randomly come and ask for some feature updates or anything off context.

He is too secretive but he partially reveals things every time to keep the anxiety.

I wrote about this and taunted him about tennis once to which he replied with a long message, in which one line was "find some other company to work".

So i resigned.

It's been more than a month and I have 20 days left on notice. Today he texted "don't resign, stay back, build a team, give it 6 months and he assures the next 6 months to be rocky and rockier ahead"

I am confused now. Its been just 1.5 years into this company and I've frequently changed companies before. So staying here was important for me. But the founders attitude is such that he says "we are family" but in reality he doesn't trust anyone.

He needs me because our vision matches and he knows that it will be difficult to find someone with the same mindset.

If I stayed, there is no guarantee that these experiences will not happen again.

What should I do?
