I am currently working as an Level 3 tech support engineer for 1.5 years and don't wanna work in support any more. Is there any possibility to switch my domain to QA / ST internally? Did anyone switch from support to another domain?
If your project has multiple teams working on multiple domains, then it's possible. I transitioned from Support to Development(almost took 2 yrs)... I used to engage with other teams and help them with POCs.. And when my manager got some confidence on me.. He moved me into Development...
Possible. Can focus on Automation skills. Do some certification to showcase your skills
Switching domains is possible. Upskill in QA/ST, network internally, and discuss with your manager. Many have done it successfully. Be prepared to justify your switch.
