Switch from Salesforce SDE2 to Bloomreach???
I am currently an SDE-2 at Salesforce India with very strong compensation (~48 LPA effective: 34 base + bonus + ~10L public RSUs).
I’m on backend/platform systems:
Some feature development with minimal learning
Production incidents & performance tuning
I’m interviewing with Bloomreach for SDE-2 (Scaling Intelligence).
The work sounds genuinely tech heavy and interesting — search infra, scalability, reliability, high-QPS systems.
Here’s the honest dilemma:
I’m already paid well
Salesforce is stable but slow and bureaucratic
Bloomreach seems like better ownership + learning, but private equity + uncertain IPO
I’m worried about:
Taking a risk for “learning” when I’m not underpaid
Resetting momentum and vesting
Switching too early instead of waiting and moving as Senior
At the same time, I don’t want to stagnate just because the money is good.
For people who’ve:
Moved from big tech → mid-sized product companies
Worked at Bloomreach (especially infra/search teams)
Deliberately not switched despite good offers
Was the move worth it? Or is this one of those cases where staying put for another year is the smarter play?

Don’t qualify of any of the criteria. Generally: If you crack, Bloomreach makes much sense. Negotiate well on comp. switch.
