I am currently working as a ABAP developer at Level 12, I just don't like it, want to switch after my 1 year is completed and then change the role from ABAP to any development languages... So the question is if I apply to other companies would my experience with ABAP will be counted, or will I be a fresher again and start from no experience.
bro, your ABAP xp will count! 💪 just switch roles, not a fresher again.
You will be considered fresher as you don't have experience.
If you want to make a career switch or technology switch, you can first apply internally to your desired roles and also make use of iAspire portal. Once you work in your desired role and gain some experience here, then you can apply outside. In that way you wont be considered as a fresher while applying outside. But if you apply to other companies now to domains other than ABAP, you will be considered as a fresher in that domain.
hey, I am currently being trained as SAP ABAP, I don't like it and asked the HR to change my training. If they don't so should I consider leaving? Or would they consider switching my stream. I have asked for QA as it was in the options and I was given ABAP based on some assignment which was taken with Python+Mongo (so I don't have any idea how they decided to give me SAP ABAP)
