Suggestions/Help

Hi everyone, I’m currently working at Infosys company with a salary of 4.54 LPA. I recently got selected at YY company, which is offering me 5.5 LPA as a fixed salary, along with a 30% variable component. However, this opportunity requires me to relocate to another city, while my current job is very close to my hometown. The problem is that I haven’t resigned from my current job yet, as I’m working on a project and the notice period is 3 months. On the other hand, YY company is not willing to release the offer unless I can join within one month. I tried negotiating with the recruiter, asking them to wait 2 months and then release the offer, but they were firm and said they can’t wait that long. Now I’m in a dilemma—should I resign and try asking my manager to reduce the notice period (though the chances of this happening are slim), or should I let go of this offer? My current plan is to somehow secure the offer letter from YY company so I can resign, and later attempt to negotiate or get counter-offers. Since I’m the sole earning member in my family, I want to keep my options open. I’d really appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thank you.

Will the location movement cost and additional hometown travel expenses for 1 year take away that 1L extra salary? Variable is exactly what it means. Variable. That too after 1 year.
