Please don’t make fun of upgrad.
I did my phd ( in talibani culture) from them to put Dr. As my prefix now I have a passive income source. Now I prescribe paracetamol to everyone who comes to my clinic.

StoaMBA is the fucking best

StoaMBA is good if your career goal is to shitpost memes on Twitter for a living and have decent paying jobs during economic bullruns and get laid off when economy turns.

It's a community, not an MBA, and most folks hiring StoaMBA guys do it because they can't afford to hire actual good folks from top MBA colleges. The quintessential "itna-paisa-mein-itnaich-milenga" team-fillers basically. Folks who understand the jargon and can execute small pieces but very very bad in broader thinking. YMMV.

If your goal is to make the most ROI and/or network with the best minds and/or work at the best companies chunky projects, I'm sorry to burst your bubble and say a full-time MBA is still the only way to do it. 😢

(Saying this as a non-MBA principal engineer who has been hiring for product teams across last 5 years and hired from both MBA colleges and alternative programs)

MBA is not worth it if you are in IT. Just upskill and switch, don't waste 2 years of your life

First you need to answer why you want to do an MBA?!

Not the essay/interview answer, the real one.

Earning more money, Better job opportunities, bragging in your social circles, career transition - are all valid reasons.

Now see which of these can help you achieve your goals - a StoaMBA might give you a promotion or new job but maybe not a complete career transition (different industry + different role).

IIM (A/B) ISB - might give you access to all of the above but it comes at a cost and time, plus not everyone makes it in.

So it depends completely on your goals.

P.S - ISB alum here

What are you trying to achieve? You may not need an MBA at all unless you plan to become a consultant or an investment banker?
