Suggestion needed

Hi guys I’m planning to gift a watch to my friend for his upcoming birthday since he doesn’t own one. Could you please suggest some good options under 5–6k? I was considering Fossil and Titan, but I read that Titan’s bracelet watches don’t have great reviews as the plating tends to fade within a few weeks.
