Suggest me What to choose ?

I'm currently in TCS with overall 2YOE in as python developer(knowledge on AI/ML as well) with around 8LPA.

I received 2 offers:

1.... a startup company with less than 100 employees established in 2020 giving me 11LPA as total fixed CTC for AI engineer role.

2.... Infosys Offering me 12LPA(including 10% variable).

Considering current market standards which would be better, please suggest me.. 🙂

I’m just curious about AI, so I did some certifications and small projects for learning. Totally agree I’m not an AI Engineer yet, that’s why I’m asking for advice on the startup vs Infosys 🙂

At your YOE, you've a bit of risk appetite given no liabilities and medical expenses, you can go for the startup. Also it'll be interesting to see if TCS tries to retain you as well given the demand of this skill in market.

Thanks for the suggestion 🙂 The discussion about retention is happening, but it looks like they can’t match the offer. Honestly, if I stay, I might just become the next target given the current TCS situation. Being just 2 YOE, I don’t have many financial commitments yet, but I’m also planning for a home in the future. If the startup feels risky in terms of salary payments or stability, I’ll have to think twice. At the end of the day, it feels like a 50-50 decision
