Stuck with a role which I never signed for
Hello Everyone,
I am seeking your guidance on a dilemma, currently working with Deloitte USI as a Business Analyst (Functional) this was a campus placement, in the JD they had mentioned a lot of things which I found exciting and the reality is way differen, I am doing all the other work apart from the one a typical BA should do. I come from a non-tech background having done B.com and then MBA,Marketing and now since there are many BAs on bench they are asking to do QA and some OOTB configuration work in their projects. I am not keen on continuing and I realized this in first few months of joining itself but didn't wanted to take any decision in hurry without having another job. It's been 2 years now and I am stuck here with the same role no other company is ready to take me and site my irrelevant work exp even not getting into a core BA role in other companies. I have a student loan debt that I had taken during my MBA. I am really fed up with myself and feel like ending everything but this debt is stopping me from taking such step.
Some days I feel it's all over and my career will never grow but then some days I believe I can navigate and do something.
I am using this platform to seek your opinion as I cannot discuss this with my family or friends. Please share your opinion thinking someone from your family is asking for help.
