Stuck on the sidelines : 1year+ on Bench

Joined EY GDS as a tech consultant about 1.5 years ago. Despite undergoing several full-stack development trainings, I've been consistently benched and haven't been assigned to any projects.

Meanwhile, my colleagues in other team with less or average skills have been successfully placed on projects, gaining valuable experience and promotions and hikes which indicates that there are projects available for staff level. I believe and as I’ve heard of, my senior manager is playing around, actively preventing my team, including myself, from getting project assignments.

I am feeling frustrated as from the beginning of my career , growth is stagnant. So I am seeking advice on how to navigate this difficult situation.

Why are you stuck with the same company? If you have skilled up in 1.5 yrs you could crack google now.

You got salary for free plus training.. what are u sad about bro ?

Yes its just I have heard and seen there arent much vacancies for 1-2yrs exp. Its either start from scratch as a fresher or 3yrs+ exp minimum

Naah man... There are a lot of openings if you have the skills- like abv average skills.

Just apply to all jobs for 0-4 years. Lot of times they can bump up and down the position, if a suitable candidate is found.

What benefit will the manager get by not assigning you any project ?
