Stuck Between Stability and Freedom - Need Advice

I’ve been working as a visual designer in Bengaluru for around 3 years now. The issue isn’t with the company or the work. I actually enjoy what I do but more with where I’m living. I’m originally from Delhi, and moving here right after college has been tough. Living away from family and friends for so long has started to feel really exhausting.

I earn a decent package (around 18 LPA), and I’m fairly confident in my skills. In fact, I’ve been getting some freelance projects too, making anywhere between 10k–30k a month. The problem is the inconsistency.

Another challenge is that I don’t feel like I’m learning much from my current company. Most of the skills I’ve picked up over the past few years have been through my own grind. Staying here feels like I’m just staying for the paycheck, which makes me question the long-term value.

My current plan is to quit in December, serve my notice period in January from home, and meanwhile keep interviewing for opportunities in Delhi NCR/Gurgaon or remote roles.

Has anyone here gone through something similar-leaving stability to either freelance or move closer to home? How did it work out for you in the long run?
