Struggling BDM

I know it's difficult to gauge if the product is saleable in the market before actually getting your hands dirty but how do you guys select companies to apply? Any suggestions.

Truthfully, it depends. If you are new to the industry and vertical it is almost always a hail mary unless you join well established firms like netsuite.
