I want to start again after a few months’ break. I worked as a backend developer for 6 years, but for the last 3 years I was on a project that was not related to coding. Now I want to restart my career as a developer. I am trying to learn new frameworks on my own, but I am not able to crack interviews. I am feeling very stressed. Please guide me on how I can start again.
Since AI is the thing. You should aim to be “AI Application Engineer”. Its basically your SWE competency mixed with Practical AI. (LLM/Transformer tuning, RAG, Langchain etc just ask GPT to give exact roadmap and a shit ton of mini projects).
If you have a backend competency then focus very very heavily on System Design. Particularly writing the most structured, cleanest code for any Design problem thrown at you. Invest in learning Systems Architecture (HLD) and Concurrency concepts heavily as well. You will learn about your language/framework as you go.
Lastly focus on DSA. Pick a sheet (Striver) and solve everything.
