
Stop Pay During Notice Period Due to Relocation Request
I’m currently serving my notice period in TCS (LWD: 20 Feb) and was released from my project on 19 Jan. For the past one year, my reporting location has been TCS Jamshedpur. RMG verbally asked me to report to TCS Yamuna, Delhi, even though only ~3 weeks are left in my notice period, and relocating for such a short duration is practically difficult. I communicated this over email and confirmed my availability to work from my current location. However, I’ve now been informed over mail that stop-pay and UA are being initiated from 19 Jan, citing bench policy, even though no written reporting date or relocation timeline was shared earlier. Has anyone faced a similar situation during notice period, and what’s the best way to handle this as per policy?
